In the book the Secret a treasure hunt by author Byron Preiss. There are twelve illustrations along with twelve poems that lead to a treasure somewhere in North America. If a treasure hunter can solve the puzzle and find the treasure. He or she will find a stone box with a key inside made of stone. The key can be turned into an estate for a rare gem that can be valued at ten thousand dollars.

There are many online platforms that can help guide you on your quest. But the goal of the treasure hunt still remains to this day. To study historical sites and do research to discover the treasures' whereabouts. I conducted an interview with the illustrator of the book John Palencar. To gather some facts on the topic. To see if any of the online communities are close to solving the mystery of the book the Secret.

John admits to knowing where one of the treasures is buried that is still undiscovered by the public. That treasure is in the state of Wisconsin and in the city of Milwaukee. He was shown a location after author Byron Preiss buried it to see if John could determine if it were noticeable. That location was in Cleveland, Ohio. But this is not the only location that John could also be aware of. John admits that he would stay at Byrons apartment in New York when he visited. This is where many of the discussions about the book's creations were conducted. So, there is a good chance that John knows the locations of a few treasures. John even admits that other locations are close to solving the Secret to the book's treasures. Byron confirmed that New York and Houston have a casque. Sandy the books publisher confirmed there is indeed a caste in San Francisco. Shawn Kelly confirmed that Montreal Canada has a treasure casque. John said that he can’t aid treasure hunters on their quest for the treasure for legal reasons.

John also says in an interview that not to over think the clues. That to think like Byron Preiss would. Byron Preiss was a schoolteacher that had a love for educating the public. Many treasure hunters believe that some of the locations will never be discovered due to construction or land developments. By Byron Preiss being a school teacher for a prolonged period of time. Byron would not have buried a treasure in a location that may be jeopardized by land erosion, construction, or places that may be changed. Byron Preiss worked with a number of people on books creations for many years to ensure the treasures would remain undisturbed. Byron Preiss book the Secret a treasure hunt is one of the longest standing treasure hunts in North America. The hunt continues for the rest of the remaining treasures.
